Chip Bailey-Gates just graduated from Northern Arizona University. The 22 year-old activist and journalist is on an 800-mile journey from Flagstaff in Northern Arizona to Fairfax in Northern California. He will encounter rigorous conditions on unpredictable terrain with only his bicycle and facial hair. This blog will track his progress.
This blog will also serve as a portal to contact Chip as his cell phone service and battery life will be limited. We will post his location updates and stories of his adventures. Be sure to check and see where Chip is and how he’s doing during his journey. Chip will be using maps to help him navigate his stealth camping and bike routes, but will have to improvise many paths.
Chip graduated from Sir Francis Drake High School in 2005. He is a political science & journalism major who enjoys watching LOST, smoking ganja, enjoying all types of music, being skeptical and he loves his bike.
